On March 21^st, the first conference of Graduate School of CAAS – IFST Collaborative Teaching and Research Department of Food Science and Engineering and the Opening Ceremony was held in IFST. Han Huipeng, Party Secretary of the Graduate School and Executive Vice President, Wang Xunqing, Director of the Training Department and Dai Xiaofeng, Director of IFST attended the conference held by Wang Qiang, Deputy Director of IFST.

Director Dai extended warm welcome to the leaders of the Graduate School and teaching representatives for their presence and introduced such work as enrollment advertisement, construction of supervisor team, training mode of graduate student, academic exchange, party construction among students, campus culture and the work of teaching and research department. He pointed out that talents were of great importance because they were the strategic, core and first resources for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Four Modernizations. IFST has always attached importance to graduate student education and with the help of the Graduate School, graduate student education develops considerably. He indicated that IFST would continue its support for graduate student education, enhance communication and coordination with teachers as well as complete work in teaching and research department. He hoped that the Graduate School would continue its support for IFST’s development while all teachers would try their best to do a good job in teaching and ensure the smooth operation of all work in the teaching and research department.

Han Huipeng and Dai Xiaofeng unveiled the nameplate of the Teaching and Research Department of Food Science and Engineering and issued letters of appointment to the main lectures. Present teaching representatives discussed such issues as course setting and teacher management.
